Thanks again.
It is known that the French city of "Bordeaux" was written "Bourdeaux" in the past. The name used today got much later usual.
I see in old papers that the ancestral seat of the family de BOURDEAUX is probably "Bourdeau sur lac de Bourget" (http://www.agglo-lacdubourget.fr/france/BOURDEAU/page/Bourdeau.html). However, there isn't any proof for it!
But Grenoble is quite nearby ...
Have you (or others) heard of it before?
It exist a "de BOURDEAUX" family branch in Germany which has come from Paris via Holland to Berlin. More isn't known to me about this. I don't see any connection here till now.
Are there documents from Grenoble which verify your details?
Greatings from Germany
