My info shows Jacob, b 18 Aug 1793 d. 1867 was the second one of Jacob Bordner, Jr's sons to be named Jacob. The first one died in childhood. Jacob inherited some of his father's farm in Berks Co., PA. His, Jacob Jr's, grandfather, your 5-great grandfather, was also Jacob, he was the eldest son of Balthaser Pauley Bortner b 1698 d 1746/7. Balthaser and Maria Elizabeth Merrilis immigrated to USA in 1732. These two have been given cretit to all Bortners, Bordners and Burtners in the US etc today!
Since my tree is for the Bordner family I don't have info on Jacob's wife Catharine Lerch, b 1793 d 1868.
By the way Balthaser is our 6-great grandfather! You're probably my 1st cousin 6 or 7-times removed. (Balthser's son Jacob was not my 5-g grandfather). We can trace our "roots" 300 years. You may be interested in knowing that since your 4-g grandfather, Jacob Bordner, Jr. served in the Revolutionary war - you are a DAR. I'm a SAR because my 4-g grandfather, also a Jacob - your Jacob's first cousin, also served in the War.
Please e-mail me your ancestors up to Jacob. My tree only extends to Jacob's grandchildren and a few g-grandchildren. I love to expand my tree (about 9000 of us so far). Thanks in advance.
