I am trying to track a Borron line forward that married married my grandfather's cousin. They ended up in Idaho and there my information peters out.
I did a gratuitous quicky census search for Hugh and got five nhits from 1880-1930.
In 1930 Hugh S. and Alma S. were in Linn Co, MO. Arthur had already left home. Tracy N. and Opal R were still at home. Hugh's father was said to be born in England and his mother inKentucky.
In 1920 Hugh S. and Alma were in Baker Twp, Linn Co, MO. Arthur is at home with an older brother (name had to read) and Tracy. High's parents are now said to be born in Missouri.
In 1910 Hugh S. and Alma S. are in the same place with sons James O. and Arthur E.
In 1900 Hugh and Alma are in White Twp, Macon Co, MO. No children.
In 1880 Hugh is the youngest of 8 children living with Arthur and Kate Borron in Baker Twp, Linn Co, MO. Arthur was born in MO and his parents in England. Kate was born in Missouri and her parents in KY.
In 1850 Arthur Barron was 13 living in Linn Co, MO with Arthur (41), physician, born Scotland G.B., and Adranna, 33, b Scotland G.B. That should take you back to Nancy's Dr. Arthur, b 1808.
I suspect that the James H. Borron born in MO, 2 June 1864; died in ID, 19 June 1850, who married Fanny M. Wright, was the son of James and Kate (Catharine) Borron, your gr-gr-parents. Can anyone verify this possibility.
In 1860 Arthur and Catharine Barron are living in Jackson Twp, Macon Co, MO. Arthur and Catharine do not have any children listed. The preceding household is Arthur and Adriana P.
In 1870 A Barrow (or Barron) and Catharine are living in LaPlata Twp, Macon Co, MO. a child, James age 3 lives with them.
In 1880 James is listed as 12 years old and a son of Arthur and Kate.
Does anyone know what Catharine (Kate)'s maiden name was?
