John, I've still been trying to find a connection between Florence Frost Bostic (who married James Henderson Fesmire) with the Florence Bostick listed under the household of Nancy Frost on the 1880 Gibson Co., TN, census, but haven't made a connection. However, I think the pauper burials must fit in somehow, and also the speculation about the 'B' in William B. Frost's name (Nancy Frost's husband - 'B' standing for Bostick) is an intriguing one.
What I know is Florence Bostick married James Henderson Fesmire in Gibson Co., TN, in 1882.Interestingly, the ledger of their marriage record shows it as 'R.F. Bostick' and 'J.H. Fesmire.'
ALSO - Florence and James Henderson Fesmire are listed on the 1910 census of Roger Mills Co., OK, as James Henderson Fesmire (head of household), and Florence R. (wife).
So now we have 3 permutations of Florence's name:R.F. Bostick, Florence R. Fesmire, and Florence Frost Bostic.
When I first began my search for Florence (before I found the marriage record and 1910 census report), I found a reference to Florence on Alice Ann Fesmire's webpage, where she is listed as 'Florence Frost Bostic,' (parents Clint Bostic and Julia McDaniel).Alice Ann's website is the only reference to 'Frost' in Florence's name that I have seen.I would sure like to know what her source was for listing Florence that way, but all e-mails and postings to her have gone unanswered. Here's the link:
