Several years ago I was in contact with a couple of ladies researching the Bozwell family of Franklin and adjoining Counties. They were of the opinion that the Boswell/Bozwell familes in Mason , Bedford, Franklin and Pittsylvinawere all related. I have looked throught their material but do not see an "Aly" among the wives. Nor do I see in the Franklin County Marriages 1786-1858, any marriages prior to Julia's birthdate that fits. But they could have been married elsewhere."Aly" could be short for Sally, but here again I see no Boswell marrying a Sally. There was a William Boswell on the 1800 Tax List for Franklin County. No indication that he was married. But I think he is probably the one who was deceased 1828/9 when Creed Boswell sold slaves that was his part of the estate of WilliamThere was also a John and Catherine Boswell in Franklin County, not sure about them, so I guess I'm not much help with your problem, but at least I looked.
