Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Rosetta Osburn, 83, of 3001 South Grand St. Monroe will be at 10 a.m. today in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe with the Rev. A. W. Coody officiating.
Burial will be at the Welcome Home Cemetery in Grayson.
Mrs. Osburn, who was a member of the Methodist Church, died early Wednesday at the Riverside Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.She was a native of Arkansas, a former resident of Delhi and West Monroe and a resident of Monroe for the past seven years.
Survivors include two sons, W. C. Osburn, West Monroe, and D. F. Osburn, Morton, Mississippi; one daughter, Mrs. J. C. Childress, Perris, California; 15 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Osburn states that George was born in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas and that
his father, Silas was born in Popular Bluff, Missouri and his mother Betsy Ann
Poole was born in Dexter, Missiouri. Betsy Ann's death certificate gives her
place of birth as Arkansas and Silas' death certificate gives his place of birth

G.F. OSBURN, 76 Succumbs; Rites Set Sunday
George Franklin Osburn, 76, of West Monroe died Friday morning in a
Monroe hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Brownville Baptist
Church in West Monroe with Rev. H.M. Roach officiating.
Interment, under the direction of Gay's Funeral Home of Delhi, will in the
Welcome Home Cemetery, Grayson.
The body will lie in state at the residence 702 Tippett, West Monroe until
time for services.
Mr. Osburn, a native of the Delhi area, resided in West Monroe for the
past few years.
He is survived by his widow Mrs. Rosa Osburn, West Monroe; two sons, David
Osburn and William Osburn, both of West Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. Dollie
Childress, Long Beach, Calif; 17 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Joe Warren, Walter Free, Robert Newman, Wayne Wilhite,
Lee Kaylor and Henry Nopper.

Funeral services for Mr. David F. Osburn, 80, were held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2001, from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton.Rev. John Goodhue and Rev. Robert Gatewood officiated.Interment was made in
the Leesburg Cemetery in Morton.
Mr. Osburn passed away on Wednesday, June 6, at Scott Regional Hospital. Mr. Osburn was a native of Prim, Ark., and was a resident of Scott County for 35 years, moving from West Monroe, La.He was a member ofMorton Jesus Name Church.Mr. Osburn and his wife served as foster parents in Scott County for six years.
