Dear Don:
This is all I have, quoted from the book, Elias Boudinot by George Adams Boyd, p.5:
Meanwhile the merchant father (Elie) was expanding his business interests. In 1707 he purchased 1/6th interest in a copper works at Simsbury, Ct. Two yrs. later he entered into a syndicate to purchase land in New Jersey from Lord Cornsbury and his "Ring."This Ramapo tract of 42,500 acres comprised the present townships of Franklin, Hohokus, and Ridgewood. He also acquired 1/13th of the
WAWAYANDA PATENT IN ORANGE CO., NY.
Footnote to the last line in Captials:
Orange Co. Land Records (Goshen NY), Liber B, p.242.The share was resold to Samuel Clowes, OCT 27, 1713.An agreement dtd. Oct 15, 1713 between Boudinot and his co-patentees as tenants in common to the effect that each could sell up to 2000 acres in the ensuing 7 yrs., is in the NY Historical Society. This acreage was excluded from the 1/13th and was known as the "undivided lands."BOUDINOT disposed of some of it in his will, and his grandson Elias sold some as late as 1772 )MS Ledgr, p.49; Account Books: NJ, NY Public Library.
Hope this is of interest to you.
