Michael 'Mickie' Patrick Boudreau 89, NEW WATERFORD It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mickie Boudreau of 3401 Pellett Ave., New Waterford, on May 10, 2005, at the New Waterford Hospital. Born in Louisbourg,N.S., he was the son of the late Charles and Barbara (Burke) Boudreau. Mickie was a veteran of the Second World War and served with the Cape Breton Highlanders. Mickie was an avid sports fan. In his younger years he played hockey with the New Waterford Hawks and played baseball. He was very involved with coaching Little League and in later years, he enjoyed a game of snooker. Mickie also enjoyed visiting with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Christena 'Tena' (MacKinnon); sons, Neil (Janice), Kenneth (Linda), Hughie, Raymond, Donnie and Michael, all of New Waterford; brothers, Charles 'Junior', New Waterford, Joe, Ontario; sister, Sheila, Ontario; grandchildren, Michelle, Mark, Eric, Michael, Mitch e l l , Matthew and Andrew. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Florine, sisters, Isabel and Irene, brothers, Johnny and Bobby, daughter-inlaw, Linda, stepbrother, Lubin. There will be no visitation by his request. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday,May 14, 2005, at 1 1 a . m . in Mount Carmel Church with burial in the parish cemetery. A reception will follow in the Carmel Centre.
