Marie was the informant on Julien's (by then he had been using Julius) death certificate, but I had no further info on her, nor do I know when she died, only that she survived him in 1906. There seems to have been a lot of "Americanizing" of the names when they emigrated from Quebec, Julien becoming Julius, Jean-Baptiste Narcisse becoming John Nelson, Jeremie becoming Jerry, etc. Was this a common practice? And if you would indulge me once more, I'd like to add information about events happening around them to the family history, as these would certainly have affected their actions.
