Sue,
As I looked over the Bougher family again, I see that Juanitta's second husband was a Dawson, so am guessing that is your line?
I wanted to mention what I considered about the name Laverge - I found that the Laforge family was early into Pemiscot Co., MO from New Madrid Co. and wondered if the pronunciation of Laverge might have been a variation on the name Laforge?
Pierre Antoine Laforge b.France - d. New Madrid Co.,MO. Family outline is available from MOGenweb archives.
Also, P.B.Bougher - I said his birthplace was on WWI draft registration, but it was actually on his WWII draft card. Why he would register then is beyond me, but he did and he shows he was born Union Co., KY, but I did not find him there.Well, on the 1860 census I looked for Sarah Elizabeth Simpson in her parent's household and there is one age 11 next door to Union Co. in Crittendon Co., KY. She's in household of William & Sarah Simpson. The fact that these two counties together bordering the Ohio River, which flows into the Mississippi and on down river is New Madrid, Mississippi & Pemiscot Co's of Missouri, makes me think this might be the right Sarah E. Simpson.
Will keep working on this as time permits.
Pam Smith
