Hi Andrew, Thanks I will add it to my information. There is no doubt about it, the evidence is quite plain. What is strange is the fact that Richard and Mary do not appear on the 1841 or 1851 Census. At least I have not found them as yet.
I had another look at the entry for George Bowley, Soldier at Woolwich, Kent, Royal Artillery Barracks, on our large reading machine, which blows things up to a large degree. He is quite clearly aged 14 Born in Paddington. Making him Born around 1847, which would be correct because they rounded the ages down. Thanks again Margaret.
