John, I DO HAVE the MACK, you speak about, I believe we talked about him before. Sorry, my head is so riddled with BOX-es I'm having a hard time keeping it all straight.
The MACK that I had was born 1845 and named Archibald McDiarmid or was called "Archie Mack" Williams. YES, he died in Clarke Co., AR. He was born in Cumberland Co., NC. Children from his marriage to Sarah Elizabeth Box were: Rachael Elizabeth, Lewis, Temperance, Archie, Mary Margaret, Celon H., Willis, Mattie, Roichie, Isaac B.
MACK, was son of Alexander "Sandy" or "Samuel" Williams who married mary Margaret Barksdale. By the way, "Archie Mack" also married secondly to Nancy Docie Pruitt. I'm not sure of the date. THere were more children from this marriage too... Ida, Elva, Josey and Henry E.
What I had was Sabra Jane Box b. 1853 was married to this latter Henry E. ca 1874. Children from Sabra and Henry's marriage were: A. B., Lenora, C. C., Cora, Elyett, Estelle, and Paul. Does anyone have the names for those with initials only?
So THANK YOU... you've hit the nail on the head!
If you take the Williams line back, it goes like this.... Alexander "Sandy or Samuel" Williams m. Barksdale and also married Marilda or Malinda M. Young, and again to Lenora Permelia Horne. There are children from all these marriage, if anyone wants them. his father was... Alexander Williams m. Charity Whitfield Smith and secondly to Jimima Haywood Whitfield (her mother was Jemima Haywood). his father was... Isaac S. Williams m. Rachel Smith, daughter of Alex Smith and Elizabeth Whitfield. his father was... Joel Williams m. Jane Smith his father was... Isaac Williams m. Martha Hodges his father was... John Williams m. Margaret Ann Jones/Johns his father was... John Williams m. Elizabeth Ann Whitley or Unknown Whitley
The last wife is controversial, but This John Williams is the father of many of those who are in the Roots Web DNA study, in Group 9. My husband's line comes from the last John's son, Richard whose wife was Daughtrey/Daugherty.
THANKS so much, you've connected the dots. Now I just need to figure out how to connect Sabra and her sister into the BOX line, and I'm sure if I follow your directions... I'll get it straightened out!
