There is documentation that suggests more than one line of Boxes in South Carolina:
Pension record of Samuel Box says he was born in Orange Co. SC in 1745.This is not likelyto be same Samuel Box who had land grant in 1757 with Thomas Box on Neuse River.Nor is it not likely to be the Samuel Box listed in Pat Alderson's Overmountain Men as a participant in the Battle of Kings Mountain.
Thomas Box later moves to low country in SC with his two sons Lewis Box and Thomas Jr.
Jacob Bos had a grant on Wateree Creek (1753)and was listed as Jacob Box bordering John Wilder in 1762 but there was no plat listed for him and there was no record of his Memorial which suggests he moved or died.
Robert Box and wife Phillis appear in Delaware in 1728 and appear to be inVA from1753 to 1755 and appear in SC in 1769.
Robert Box who had a land grant on Little Creek in 1765 is not yet placed in the family of Robert and Phillis Box.
