There is clear documented evidence that Bathsheba was alive after 1777. That tends to say that Bathsheba is not one of Simon's kids - given that he mentioned all of the other kids in his will and did not mention Bathsheba.
It appears that the evidence that indicates that Bathsheba is Simon's daughter is that Simon signed for her at her wedding to Thomas Simons.
A couple alternative reasons why Simon signed for her are:
1.) Simon may be Bathsheba's grandfather (that would make Bathsheba the d/o Thomas Bozarth (other spellings are possible).Does anyone have any descendants of Thomas Bozarth who was born about 1709?Was Thomas ever married? Did Thomas Bozarth die before Bathsheba married in January of 1746?
2.) Simon may be Bathsheba's uncle (that would make Bathsheba the d/o one of Simon's siblings, ie Henry, who was born before 1699 or the other, yet unidentified sibling on the Ship, when it crossed the Atlantic. And it is possible that Jean (the Alpha Bozarth in America) had more children after they arrived in America.
So does anybody have any suggestions to document the parentage of Bathsheba?
