I am not a Bozarth (I don't think I am!), but I keep finding all these connections.Today, at the OR Hist Soc library I found a document dated 13 Dec 1847 Clackamas County, OR Territory, asking for a Justice of the Peace for the citizens who lived on the Columbia Slough a remote portion of the county and signed by Loamini Wilcox (my family), John L. Bozarth & Squire Bozarth, among others. Loamini was the son of Joel Wilcox II & Sarah Williamson, they died on the OR trail & and Loamini died in Nov 1848.
Joel Wilcox II had a bro Alvin, who had a son Joel, who lived in Rice Co, KS 1870ish next to a Bozarth family, and this Joel later migrated to Denver where he was very close to one Harry Burlew, whose wife Florence, was a Bozarth.Harry was a detective, as was Joel, and they often lived next door to each other.
Following the 1906 earth quake, my grandparents fled San Francisco, and lived with Harry and Florence Burlew.
The Wilcox family was very prominent in CT before migrated to OH, IL, IA, KS, etc.
Does any of this ring a bell?I have never seen a Wilcox/Bozarth marriage, but there is some tie-in, I am sure.
