All three brothers deserted the Confederate forces on 10 Aug 1863.Joseph and James H. enlisted in Union forces on 21 Oct 1863, Finis only 16 enlisted in the Union on 7 Dec 1863.Mary Ball (Smith) Bozarth received a Civil War Widow's Pension and Joseph Bozarth received a Civil War Pension. Finis Bozarth's wife, Martha (Henley) Maynard also received a Widow's Pension.
