This is a second posting. I found a "Maggie" Bradway in the 1880 Census, Delevan, Tazewell Co. IL, age 11 and b. IL. She is the dau. of Stephen Bradway, age 44 b. NJ (ca. 1846) and wife Margaret age 43, also b. NJ. Others enumerated were: Maria (dau.) 19 IL, Phebe A. (dau.) 14 IL, and Mary E. (dau.), 3, IL.
I can't find Stephen in any of my 1850 NJ census records, but a lot of these people migrated into PA, then OH and I don't have those census records. It seems that Stephen should be listed in the 1850 census, somewhere, as someone's son! I don't have him in any of my NJ notebooks, but it MUST be an Edward Bradway line, perhaps from one of the descendant families who were no longer practicing Quakers!
Age 11 in 1880 would only fit if you don't know the order of birth for the 13 children and Elsie Marie was one of the OLDER ones. She couldn't possibly have had 13 children by ca. 1892, at least not without having had a bunch of twins, even if she had married at age 16. If this is your Margaret, then she would have m'd about 1885 and probably had the first child ca. 1886/7.
Try checking the 1900 IL and/or NE Soundex, and then the Census, to see if you can locate the Litten family. That should show you a bit more on the order of birth of Margaret's older children.
