This is John Nicholson Brandons/o David and Rebecca Long Brandon (not to be confused with nephew John Nicks Brandon, s/o John N.'s brother William Byrd and Rebecca Scott Brandon).
This is what I wrote on my tree, after Larry Brandon guided me through Halifax County records: "It seems that David and Rebecca Brandon had yet another child born after David wrote his 1769 will. A deed from Thomas of Winns Creek transfers land to his brother John Nicholson Brandon, Halifax County Deed Book 15, p. 560, on March 2, 1793.In the Halifax Wills 1792-1797 abstracts, the Inventory of the deceased John N. Brandon is detailed and it appears he was a bachelor, with just 1 bed, 1 saddle and books."
What you have is the further partition of the land handed down by David to his children. (Larry knows which Thomas belongs in which family from detailed studies of the land records and homestead locations.)
David and Rebecca had William Byrd Brandon 1757-1847 m. Rebecca Scott Thomas Brandon b.c.1759 m. Agatha/Agnes Warren Elizabeth Brandon b.bef.1769 Margaret Brandon b.c.1765 m. Catherine Brandon Warren was a cousin, d/o Francis and Elinor Richmond Brandon.
Elder Thomas Brandon is believed to be the patriarch, with children Francis, William, David and Sarah (m. Joseph Pulliam). John Nicholson Brandon is David's son. David wrote his will in 1769 but lived until 1778 without ever updating it.
I have no Elliotts except a Rebecca Elliott b.1774 who was the second wife of Joseph Pulliam Jr, Sarah Brandon Pulliam's son.
