As Mark indicated to you in his follow-up message, Elvira's father was William Braman (not Joseph) and the family appears to have settled on the Braman spelling (not Brayman) at that point. William Braman was my second-great granduncle. I am descended from William's uncle, Elihu Braman.
Mark did an excellent job of laying out the data on William's family. I would only add that William died in Little Rock, Arkansas, 3/25/1864 of wounds suffered while serving in the 12th Infantry, Co. I, during the Civil War. He is buried in Little Rock National Cemetery.
