I am a descendent of Isaac H. Bearden who married Malvina (Elvinia?) Brickeen in January 16, 1852.I have this information from a US Army pension application filed by Isaac's son, William James Bearden (1854-1902). This was, apparently, the second marriage for both Isaac and Malvina.Isaac was previously married to Sarah Lauderdale in Marshall Co., TN, on Sept. 2, 1844.
Isaac served in the 5th Tennessee Cavalry (USA) during the Civil War and died of smallpox in Nashville on Jan. 8, 1864. He is buried in the National Cemetary there.
I do wonder whether Matthew F. Brickeen of Giles Co. was the brother of Malvina (Elvinia?) Brickeen.Matthew married Malissa Jane Bearden in Giles Co., TN, on June 11, 1852. In any case, Matthew's son, James A. Brickeen, moved to Stoddard County, Missouri. My great grandfather, William James Bearden (1854-1902) moved to Stoddard Co. from Lawrence Co., TN, by 1880.
