The cemetry is the old one in Aquia, Stafford Co., Virginia. You can find information by trying Brent Family Cemetry Stafford, Virginia. It's owned by the Catholic Church now. Look up the history of the Aquia area during the Civil War. The area was granted to the Brent family by King Charles and it's on the river. otherwise in Virginia they could not have held land or anything because they were Catholic. I'm from Maryland so we had troops moving back and forth and people protected each other, not only was Maryland devided but almost all families. In Virginia they were already the enemy and union troops were stationed there for a long time without any supply lines. They buried everything wood growing or made of and used the tombstones to make fireplaces. The only old one left was Margaret Brent's,sister of Giles Brent. Since the brothers and sisters stayed close and moved near each other in life from England to Maryland then Virginia, they would have been buried in the same cemetry. Oldest brother left to take up the title etc. when the father died. I learned new things about the civil war looking this up. I love history and had thought I knew a lot, just shows you. My family line includes the Greene family, too. Still waiting on my mtdna plus I've ordered another that says the can tell if there is any native american. Would love to know were the cemetry is you talked at, do you mean it's in Calvert Co., Maryland? Bev. Davis
