There is no date on this Obit;left column is cut off so some words were not legible) "Death of Alden Bresee ----Inventor of Ability and Well Known Resident of Westford Passes Away at Age of 73 --- Alden Bresee, 73 years old, of Westford, died Saturday morning at 5 o'clock. His wife who was Carrie Brown, of Mt. Vision, died about five years ago. There was one child by this marriage, a daughter Maude who married Jean Elliot of Westford.About 10 years ago she died leaving three children, granddaughters of the deceased. Gladys, Mary and Margaret of Clintonville; also a brother Nelson of Gloversville and two nephews Donnelly and Bert Bresee of Oneonta and a niece, Myrtle, of Binghamton (These were children of Elbert Bresee). Many of the older residents of Westford will remember his success as an Inventor, especially of the twin bed springs. He was a talented musician and a member of the Westford Methodist Episcopal Church, where he took an active interest in the choir as long as his health permitted. The funeral services were held Monday morning at 11 o'clock at the Westford MethodistEpiscopal Church, the Rev. R. Fletcher of Schenevus officiating. Burial was in the family plot at Westford."

Westford, Dec .19. - The funeral of Mrs. Alden Bresee was held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Methodist Church of which she was a member, with a good attendance of relatives and friends. The service was conducted by Rev. Young, Pastor of the Church. Mrs. Bresee was 66 years old and had been a resident of Westford for many years. She was quiet and unassuming in her ways, devoted to her family, and ever ready to help those about her. She is survived by her husband, three grand-daughters the children of an only daughter who died several years ago. Those from out of town in attendance at the funeral were her sister Mrs. St. John with husband, son and daughter, of Corinth; Nelson Bresee of Gloversville; Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Bresee and two children of Meridale, Bert Bresee of Herkimer; Mr. and Mrs. George Fish of Oneonta and Mr. and Mrs. Saxton of Cooperstown."
