I have this in my notes for Isaac Brewer, may give you a trail to follow.I also have tentative information that he is a son of Howel Brewer and Marian May.This may or may not be correct.
Isaac Brewer applied for Rev. War Pension in Talladaga Co., AL in Chatham Co., NC, a son of Howel Brewer, who had brothers, William and John.Isaac went to war first with his Uncle John Brewer. He served under Col. Dick Literal (Luttrell), Capt Martin Nall, also Col. Wm. Gholson. He named persons in the same service with him - his father Howel Brewer, his Uncle William Brewer and his Uncle John Brewer. Issaac died prior to June 30, 1853 when his widow Sarah applied for a pension which he never did receive.Isaac and Sarah had a son Joseph and a daughter. One of the depositions (a letter) made in Isaac's behalf was by his cousin, Mary Brewer Blankenship of Monroe Co., TN, 3 May 1850.Mary Blankenship, wife to Spencer, was one of the daughters of Old William Brewer of Blount(y) Co., TN.She was 60 years old (b. 1790).She said William d. about 12 or 13 years ago (1838 ot 1839).She recalled that William and Isaac talked about the war.
