I have seen the many many posts and replies regarding John Brewer's and Hannah's, and I don't know if this is a new set of John & Hannah's or some of the 'old' mixed up between the "two John's" families.Confusing to say the least. What I have is from an 1850 Census of Ipswich, MA. It lists a John Brewer age 59 married without occupation b. in MA. (according to his age that would mean he was born 1791). His wife Hannah Brewer age 66 b. MA 1784. Their daughter Sarah Moody (she is my 3rd grt. grandmother who married Joseph Moody in Ipswich, May 16, 1841, she is Sarah A. Brewer according to Marriage records). It goes on to list her children as Susan D. Moody age 8 born in MA, William Moody age 7, born in MA, James Moody age 5 born in Maine, and Daniel Moody age 9 months, born in Maine, (my grt. grt. grandfather who married Lavina Hannah Bailey in Maine and lived in Harpswell, ME). Also living with them was a Peter Rafferty age 27 born in Maine.I do not know where her husband Joseph Moody was at the time of this Census. I cannot seem to find him anywhere. Sarah is buried at the Chicopee Cemetery in Buxton,Maine, headstone reads: Sarah Moody b. ca 1816 died March 18, 1887 aged 70 yrs., 11 months."Mother" wife of Joseph Moody". I would be interested to know about my grt. grt. grt. grandmother's family.Does anyone show a birth date for a John Brewer around 1791 in MA?Thanks so much for any help.
