If you have a document saying that lewis was born in NC then that Kills the theory that he arrived on the ship that was wrecked with his mother.Being born in NC is no problem. You are evidently not from this area. My grandfathers farm sat on the NC and virginia line there are statements out by relatives that they slept in va and ate breakfast in NC.Even if Lewis was born if Nc it dosent prove he was the son of James, With the other lewis living here and married to dorothy,But the name Wiggins sure is important in my opinion. What date do you have for the birth of Lewis. All this still does nothing for my Robert,But I will keep at it and maybe I,ll get lucky.I am sending you a map of the area from prince george to the north carolina line--the circle with the dot is my greatgrandfather farm location in 1719 just above on namozine creek is where dancy stanley lived.down at the bottom you will see fontaines creek as it branches off of the merihan river. rattlesnake creek is marked in yellow it is on this creek that the farm of robert brewer was located. it goes on down and crosses the nc line at lake gaston. Williambrewer purchased about 5000 acres between greenville and mecklinburg. His original part being left in the will by george sr., George Jr left his part of farm to James.I also have the survays by robert bolling for the years 1712 to 1726 that combined with this map show every person farm andb its size and the neighbors on each side.check you email for this map.
