I found in the Chatham CO.,NC Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions submitted to Rootsweb by Sue Ashby, Nov. 2000, mention of JOHN CROW being appointed the guardian of GEORGE BREWER, son of OLIVER BREWER. Does anyone know what the CROW - BREWER connection would be?
Guardian Accounts - 1800-1830, Vol. A Chatham Co., NC:
pg. 7 Brewer, George, Orphan of Oliver Brewer - John Crow, Guardian - Aug 1802
By way of explanation of payments: "These records are the actual accounts filed by the guardians for services and payments rendered in maintaining the estates,of their wards. They were required to file for any and all money paid out and received, ONCE A YEAR. So, there should be annual records for the same orphans, until they reach their majority".
