Below is the obituary for my mother, Louise Moon Collins.
COLLINS, M. Louise Age 71 of Middletown, Ohio passed away Monday, March 20, 2006 at 11:21 a.m. at Hawthorn Glen Senior Living Campus where she had been a patient for 3 months. She was born July 20, 1934 in Middletown, Ohio and lived here all her life. She previously was the Bar Manager at the V.F.W. and Bar Tender at the D.A.V. She was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary, D.A.V. Auxiliary, Women of the Moose and the Eagles Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by parents, Chester and Hazel (Brewer) Lawson; first husband, Charles Moon – 1971; 2 brothers, Robert Lawson and Herbert Cassidy. She is survived by husband of 30 years, Ezra; 2 sons, Charles Robert Moon – Miamisburg, Ohio, Michael Moon, wife Vanessa – Franklin, Tennessee; 1 daughter, Carla Marie Smith, husband Kerry – Middletown, Ohio; 5 step-sons, Tom Collins – Middletown, Ohio, Jim Collins, wife Teresa – Middletown, Ohio, Greg Collins, wife Evelyn – Maineville, Ohio, Darrell Collins – Middletown, Ohio, Scotty Collins – Middletown, Ohio; 1 step-daughter, Vicki Wenzel, husband Gary – West Middletown, Ohio; 4 grandchildren: Michelle Moon; Robert Moon, wife Carrie; Amy Helton, husband John; and Todd Smith; 3 great grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Norma Hill – Stonington, Connecticut, Roxie Delude – Polk, Ohio, numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, March 23, 2006 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Herr-Riggs Funeral Home, 210 S. Main St., Middletown. Funeral services will be Friday, March 24, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend James Anderson officiating. Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Ohio.
