Ella 'Margaret' Johnson, 84, of Sneedville, TN, departed
this life and entered Heaven’s Gates on Friday, December
She was born Ella Margaret Brewer on January 8, 1926, to
parents, Mack and Leona Brewer. She married her beloved
husband, Leonard Johnson on January 27, 1944.
She was a dedicated member of Duck Creek Baptist Church
where she served as clerk for 42 years and adult women’s
Sunday school teacher. She was a former school teacher and
UT Homemaker, but her true devotion was to her family and
She loved to sing and write poetry about every one she
knew. She was a beloved and special mother, grandmother,
and friend to all who knew her. She will be sadly missed
by those she leaves behind but Heaven has gained a special

son, Gerald Johnson; brothers, Wayne Brewer and Eugene
Brewer; sisters, Ina Greene, Evelyn Wolfe, and Maxine
Tripucka; brothers-in-law, Hugh Johnson and Edgar Johnson,
Dewey Hurley, Horace Greene, and Tony Wolfe; and sisters-
in-law, Winnie Hurley and Ilene Johnson.
She leaves behind daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Doug
Seal; son, Sheldon Johnson; son and daughter-in-law, Allen
and Stacy Johnson; grandchildren, LeAnne Anderson and
husband Jamie, Logan Seal, Jesse Johnson, Hannah King and
husband Spencer, Tyler and Brock Johnson, Nikki Penland
and husband Kevin, and Erin Johnson; great-grandchildren,
Marlie, Morgan and Will Anderson, Meggan Sellers, Sydnee
Penland, and Lanie King; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita
and Johnny Wear; brother and sister-in-law, Carroll and
Bonnie Brewer; sisters-in-law, Blanch Brewer and Ruth
Hopkins; brother-in-law, Paul Tripucka; and numerous
nieces,nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., on
Sunday, January 2, 2011, at the Duck Creek Church.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., on Monday,
January 3, 2011, at the Duck Creek Baptist Church, with
Pastor Rev. Kester Bunch and the Rev. Alan Lamb officiating.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, January 4,
2011, in the Duck Creek Church Cemetery.
