Helen Brewer Everhart Johnson, 93, of Rogersville, Hawkins
Co TN, passed away Monday, August 19, 2013, at Wellmont
Hawkins County Memorial Hospital. She was born August 1,
She was a member of Persia Baptist Church. Mrs. Johnson
attended the Sam Long School.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Woodrow
Everhart and Dee Johnson; parents, Robert and Mary
Anderson Brewer; sisters, Effie Chestnutt, Melba Humphries,
and Vesta Steele; and brothers, Joe Brewer and Norman
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ruth Freeman and
husband Dwayne, of Morristown, TN, Connie Pendleton and
husband Richard, of Mount Carmel, TN; son, Lewis Everhart,
of Newport, TN; grandchildren, Leah Freeman Ailey, of
Baneberry, Rev. Todd and Pam Everhart, of Denver, CO, Kent
and Tonya Everhart, of Rogersville, TN, and Chris and Laura
Pendleton, of Columbia, SC; great-grandson, Joseph 'Jake'
Everhart, of Denver, CO; step-daughters, Ann Reuschel, of
Rogersville, TN, and Jean Price and husband, Bill; step-son,
James Johnson and wife Barbara, all of Surgoinsville, TN; four
step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to express their thanks for caregivers,

Calling hours will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, August 21,
2013, at Broome Funeral Home, Rogersville.
Funeral service will be conducted 7 p.m., Wednesday, August
21, 2013, in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Kevin R.
Wisecarver and Rev. Jon Rogers officiating.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2013, at
