The Bright family of St. Mary's Co. MD seems to be connected via land trails to Robert NUGENT (aka NUGEN/ NEWGEN/ NEWGEN, etc.) who d. abt. 1774 in St. Mary's Co. MD. This was the Catholic Branch. Apparently, there was also a Protestant branch there as well. But these seem to be the Beaver Dam ones.
But this is very notable because 2 women named Mary and Lydia Bright were very connected to the Suite family in St. Mary's Co. before 1780's.
Lydia Bright had land that belonged to Robert Nugent who owned it before and after Lydia.
When Robert Nugent died in 1774, one of the witnesses to his will was MATTHEW BREEDEN.
This is VERY significant as earlier, in Charles Co. MD next to St. Mary's, ca. 1719, a woman named Isabel Drayden/Dryden died. She was the wid. of Geo. Drayden, but had been previously married 2x.
Her 2nd husband ALSO had a son named Matthew BREEDING/BREEDEN (SPELLED VARIOUSLY IN RECORDS*) but this one d. ca. 1759.
This Isabel who was wid. of William BREEDING/BREEDEN died in 1719 there. Her estate paid a John SUTTE who HAS TO BE RELATED to the Thos. SUITE, Sr. of St. Mary's Co. who was connected to NUGENT and BRIGHT.
I see you mention your family was connected to BRADEN.
This area of MD isn't too far from VA.
BRADEN may be a variation of this BREEDEN/BREEDING connection to BRIGHT and NUGENT.
