My grandmother used to tell some funny Millen stories too.She and her sister Elsie went back for a funeral sometime in the 60's and they said people were still sitting on their front porches talking about "the war." And by that they meant the civil war since nothing had happened in Millen since then.
Another tip on Millen searches is that it is under at least 2 conties, Burke, and Screven. There was a change of counties at some point.
I'm related to the Brinsons through the Hargove side of my family.Henry Hargrove was married to Martha A. Brinson (1808-1877).She was the daughter of Stephen Brinson & Nancy Stringer.I think Stephen's parents were Adam Brinson and Mary Sheppard.
I'd be interested to see if you come up with a connection to my Brinsons.I think they may all be related.
