The entrance gate and house were still extant when I visited. The Gate house was a B&B. The game lawn and pond were in place as was the horse barn with clock tower. The outline of th manor house was still visible in a pasture.
The manor house fell into disuse in the earl 20th century. By WWW the house was demolished and the bricks salvaged for reuse. The national heritage commission took control of the property and their were masons rebuilding the stone fence lines along the long driveway into the property.
There is a large collection of Briscoe documents including extensive geneologies at carlisle Castle - now the county seat and library.
The small church in Carlisle is available for viewing and contains graves and designated family seating areas.
