The way that I understand it , my Grandmother, Mildred Sadie Broadfoots family came in to the United States in Canada. The Story that Ive got from my Father is that Grandmother was very secretive about her Indian heritage, Dad said it was because her and her brother, and her sister where treated so poorly growing up. I was contacted by my Grandmothers sisters clan in Beaver Oklahoma concerning some things I had mentioned, Loni O'reily, her mother was Hazel Broadfoot, and has alot of information on the Broadfoot side of the family. Loni can be reached at Bob&Loni O'Riely@ptsi.net. Loni said that there where rumours that the Bogue family while in Indian Terr., Pawnee , Oklahoma area that this may have been the place the story came from. I had always heard something alittle different? I was told that Grandmother and her brothers and sisters where sometime teased, there hair pulled, sometime there clothes being ripped because they looked so much Indian, Grandmother doesnt deny That The Quapaw indian is somehow close on her side. She wont say, maybe she doent Know? If I probe on her to much she gets mad. I hope this answers some of the things that you where wondering, contact Loni O'Reily, O'riely?
