Elisha Hardin Brockett was son of Elisha Brockett (1786-1864) and Celia Young (1791-1856).Elisha and Celia had 12 children. Elisha Brockett, b in SC, was s/o William (no middle initial) Brockett and Martha (Patsey) Ives.William is buried in a small cemetery north of Carthage.The grave stone is a fake.No one knows for certain where the grave is. William was b 1748 in Craven Co, NC (not in Connecticut as some would have you believe).His father is proved as Benjamin Brockett, b about 1725, prob in Pasquotank Co, NC.
