Zoe you are a great help. I was pulling my hair out.
I do have copies of some of the military records and his wifes name with some pension info. I might have to make a trip to Northville Michigan to do more research. Just having 4 boys here ages 2-14 take up most of my time. I sneek on here most of the time. 5 minutes here and 5 minutes there.
No my grandfather passed away. My Aunt is suppose to make me more copies of the military records she has. She is about the only person I can get info from, but working and things she needs to do have slowed here down on not being able to really look into info I have given her and looking into info she found. Cat and mouse game. The info she has already gave me was wonderful. The copies of the diaries...I was amazed.
I know he put in his diary George F Brockett 1st Battery, Minnesota, Vol 2 Rochester, Minnesota
Curtis A Brockett Berlin Wisconsin
Munson Brockett Drfsenville(sp) Symp(can not make out spelling) Cayuga Co. N.B
This is from an e-mail someone sent me I believe 1810-1820 1840 census from Windham Greene Co. NY:
