Laura: I know that Oscar(d) married Constance Sedotan, and that they had at least 8 other children: Edith, Alice, Dorace (Dossas),Berthe, Lena, Mattie, Effie and Eva. I know that Agnes Belle mrried Roger Marcel Weill. I have the lineage back to Francois Broussard and Catherine Richard in Acadie. I would note also that we have accomplished DNA testing on two Broussard Lines (Francois of Acadie and the Urbain Broussard line of Quebec), and theire is no connection between those two line for the past six hundred years; I note that, because many stubborn cousins still attempt to connect the two line together. The Urbain line can be traced to William the Conqueror, via the Kings of France, so I suspect that is why they try so hard. I would invite you to view and read our website via www.cafa.org and under index of Acadian Families scroll down to Broussard. I would also mention that the next two saturdays are important to Broussard and Broussard Descendants: Saturday March 10 we will have a Famille Beausoleil Gathering in Maurice, Lousiana at the Woodmen of World Hall from 10 am till 1:30 pm. There is no admission fee, all are welcome, and we always have a fine time with cousins which winds up with a good meal (the meal cost is $5 per person for all over age 12 years; under 12 eats free). On Saturday March 17 at St Martinville, Lousiana we will have the second annual re-enactment of the arrival of Acadians at Attakapas. Last year the Broussard and Hebert Families were welcomed, and this year they will be greeter to the Leblanc and Trahan Families. The time for the all day event will be 10 am till 4 pm; again no admission fees. The event also sponsors Acadian Arts and Crafts, food, and music.
