He was a graduate of Case Institute of Technology in 1949. His doctorate was from Iowa State University in 1955. Surviving him are his wife, the former Emily Ambler of Lee. Mass., a graduate of the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing at Western Reserve University; his parents and a brother and a sister, both of Cleveland. His home was at Bellport, L. I.
