I do not know if this will be of help, but there is a connection through my late grandmother. Her maiden name was Eula Mae Williams and around 1920 married Edgar McKay Browning.Families lived near one another in Clay County Alabama.Williams family goes back in area to early 1800s.Ed Browning's grandparents moved to area after the end of the Creek Indian Wars around 1850.Williams settled even earlier.Eula Mae Williams was daughter of David Major Williams. We have Browning relatives in Kentucky and Ohio (Akron/Canton area).Brownings moved to Alabama from Henry County, Georgia, led by John Browning, born in 1801.Family origin goesback to 1600s Jamestown, VA.Large contingent settled in Culpepper, VA.A group seems to have moved down the coast in post-Revolutionary War period to NC and SC, and in 1840s began to move west, eventually to Arkansas and Clay County Texas.
