I was reading an old post you had made in 2003 regarding the children of James and Mary Saunders Brownlow. They moved to Tennessee around 1809. One of their daughter's, Nancy married John Cook. Their daughter, Sarah Ann, married William English Boatright (my ancestor). One of their son's, James, became a Primitive Baptist preacher, farmer and carpenter. He married Isabel McCrary and they had several children. One son, John Polk Brownlow, moved from Tennessee to Missouri around 1870 and got into the banking business. He returned to Maury County and Giles County (where he was born) and opened another bank. He sold his interest in the bank after retiring in the early 1900's. Today that bank has been renamed First Farmers and Merchants and has branches in several area cities.Rev. James is buried in the Wagstaff, Brownlow, Boatright Cemetery a few miles from Lynnville, Tennessee.
