Brenda, I've emailed you, re: Carter Dna studies/site..and I seem to come back to the SW corner of MO and NW corner of Ark, in my search for "unk" wives for my G-gmtr's, Louellen Corn/w/ell's dad..her sister, Clara Corn/w/ell married a LaRose in Hickory Co.,Mo. There were two boys in the LaRose hh, named Homer and Felix Brumley.Mr LaRose's dad was previously a Mendel/Mundell, who used his wife's name, LaRose. Some of the Barton's went to Mo, too...and to Indiana, per the 1870 census, then back to Knox Co., Ky and by 1900, "my" Wm J/Susan M.Barton-Carter were in Tx with their dtr, Lydia, in Hunt Co.,Tx...in 1901, Fannin Co.,Tx, my maternal Grannie, was the only one of her (known)siblings b:Fannin Co.,Tx. Many folks had gone there, due to jobs that the RR brought to the area., from Jefferson, Marion Co., Tx..which had lost out, when the steamship biz gave way to RR transport..thru Marshall,Tx.I have links to all these places. Both my mat/pat grannies ended up in E.Tx, unknown to one another. The maternal one with the Carter links...the paternal one, with the Cornell link..who's Gr-aunt was a Cornell/LaRose. The Felix Brumley and his bro/cousin Homer went to Ralston OK, where Felix married and made his living as a barber. Louellen's dad supposedly married the two "unk" wives in Ark and the lst one died in TX..Louellen/Clara b:Tx..per 1880 census info, McDonald Co.,Mo.There's indian woman lore, but no indian has been found in the rolls, as yet, to "prove" any bloodlines. Most of my "indian" is related to the "Black Dutch" in Ky ie:Isaac Carter's dna info on the Carter dna site...I believe the name of the lady was Johnson, which was with the Brumleys in OK, per a geno book of my 3rd cousin, B.Thompson, who I've sent a cc of your posting, here..Thanks for ANY clues that bring these stories closer together..and especially anything that would solve the "unk" Cornell "indian woman" mysteries. There were other Carters with Louellen's son, in Oklahoma, but have not a clue how they all go together, but, some have a link back to the ones in Fannin Co.,TX.I've sent one of those descendants a link to your post, also..Thanks.Hope to hear from you....or someone...anyone...?
