Josiah Brunson, JRb: 10-28-1777, m: Sylvia Pinckey in 1805 (she was born 1-12-1786; the dau of William Robert Pinckney & Mary Beaston. Also the niece of Charles Pinckney, a signer of the Constitution of the USA). About 1805, they moved to Richmond Co., GA,& in 1831, moved to Lincoln Co., GA, where they owned a large plantation. Josiah died 6 Oct 1836. Sylvia sold the plantation ca 1845. Their ch were: Matthew Eugene SR, Comfort Catherine, Paregnigln Elizabeth, Littleberry Hezekiah, Amanda, Lennory, Thaddus Warsaw, Marshall, & Messaline.3.Matthew Eugene Brunson Sr married Sarah Blanchard of Lincoln, GA 25 Oct 1838, eventually moved to Coffee Co., AL.
