I noted your post in search of relatives of the surname Bryden. I think you should try searching with the spelling as Brydon There are a lot of references to an Isabelle Brydon with this spelling. I am also seeking further information on a Dr. William Brydon. Please see the attached link to a web page telling the story of Dr. Brydon. http://www.geocities.com/Broadway/Alley/5443/af4.htmhttp://www.geocities.com/Broadway/Alley/5443/af4.htm
If you have any further information on Dr. William Brydon, the sole survivor of some 16,000 involved in the battle. I believe him to be my Great, Great, Great Grandfather, or brother of same. From what I have found on the internet, he also was involved in the siege of Lucknow and may have then served in Bermuda. I would like very much to know more of him, especially as my father "Brydon William Wilson" is getting older and I would like to pass on some more history to him of his ancestor. My Father was named after Dr. Brydon which was the family name from his mother's side.
