Hi: I want to correct the name of the Buckman child that was born on the wagon train enroute from KS to AZ.She wrote that it was Clement Everman Buckman. That was the name of the father - the child was named John Everman Buckman born on the trail in AZ to Clement Everman Buckman and Servilla (Shanks) Buckman on 28 Aug 1864. This info is from the trail memoirs of the Mary Josephine and Sarah Earsley Buckman - older siblings of the wagon trail baby.Their trail memoirs can be found online at the USGenWeb Bourbon County website. The birthdate is from the Phyllis Gross book about the Pennebakers and Buckmans. Regarding the middle name of father and son - I would dearly like to know from whence this name came.Do any of you know of any Everman family connected with the Buckman lines? Several years back at the Buckman yearly reunion picnic at a Visalia, CA park - I was looking at a family tree and casually mentioned, "I wonder what the correct spelling is - Evermon or Everman?"A man standing beside me said,"I can tell you that it is Everman because that is my middle name."So, I thought that settled it.But, another man stepped forward and said, "I can tell you that it is Evermon because that is MY middle name."We certainly got a laugh out of that.
