I have very little info on my Buelow line. We believe my grandfather was born Henry Fredrick Buelow but changed is name to Henry Bilow. Henry left his family under strained conditions very early in life. He never spoke with his dad again. I know from pictures that Henry had a brother named Frank. He was married and we think he stayed in the Ft. Wayne area. Also, I have a picture of Henry's mother with the name Ann Miller on the back. I have pictures of Lenus Miller and his family. Lenus married Susan Haldemon in Elkhart county, IN. Both Lenus and Susan were born in 1861. I don't have proof but I believe Lenus was Ann Miller's brother. My dad believes they were of Swedish decent. One of their daughters was Sylvia who married Vernon S. Culp. I found a Frank Buelow m. to Matilda Trenchet & Lenus Miller m. to Susan Haldemon at Ancestery.com. Henry Bilow's wife had a newspaper clipping of the death of Henry Buelow in her bible. He died in 1919 in Ft. Wayne. I found a Henry Buelow in the 1910 census for Ft. Wayne. It states he was 59 yrs old, widowed, a laborer, living as a boarder, born in IN, his parents were born in Germany. If this is the right person he would have been born abt. 1851. The German decent matches family lore. My dad says his dad's records of birth were destroyed in a fire at a Catholic church. This is all we know at this time. I know a lot about my grandfather but nothing of his dad except his name and his death. During my grandfathers life he refused to talk about his family specifically his dad. He did have some relations with his brother Frank. Henry Bilow left IN in 1904 when he joined the Marines and settled in CO at the end of his second hitch where he married Cora Iva Jenkins. He never went back to IN. If you make any kind if match please let me know. I have been at a dead end with this line for some time.
