Martha Josiephine BROWN b. 2/23/1845 d. 11/2/1915 Winnsboro,LA. Martha Josiephine m. John W BUFFALOE b. 18 July 1844 in Hardeman Co.,TN(son of Matthew T. Buffaloe ca 1810-1870 and Kezziah Brown Buffaloe m. 15 May 1839 Hardeman Co TN .It was reported that Martha was related to Kezziah.
Children of Martha and J W (that I have found): 1. Frances naomi "Nonie" born 21 Feb 1871 m. James William Dill 13 Jan 1892.They had one son, Lois Chester who had a son James Hamilton now (?) living in Little Rock AR.
2. Acey Frank b. 1872 in Haywood Co TN m. Annie Shoe. Son Edgar and dau Loraine.Acey Frank m. 2nd Laura Shoe, Annie's sister 31 March 1900
3. Annie b. 5 Feb 1880 m. Revell Lennie Overton ca 1897; had Clarice Naomi, and Roy
4. Etta (Ettie J.) was b. ca 1881 in Haywood Co and her son Clyde Hess Buffaloe was b. 9 Aug 1897.She m. 20 May 1901 Robert "Bob" Warren and they had Vernon and Johnny.
5.Ashley Roscoe b. 13 May 1883 Haywood Co TN m. Georgia Cebelle Williamson26 Dec 1901.Children were Ashley Ronald,Annie Josephine, Alcie Duette,Doris Naomi,Brooksie Lucile,Jack Williamson,and Frankie Ross
John Washington Buffaloe died 6 Dec 1929 at the home of his daughter Mrs. J.W. Dill in Prescott, AR.He was 85 years of age.His body was shipped to Providence, Madison Co TN and was buried in Providence Cemetery.

"John Washington Buffaloe was born 18 July 1844 in Hardeman Co., TN.He entered the Civil War as a private on April 2, 1862 in Capt. Phillips Light Artillery Co..... was wounded at Peach Tree Creek....was listed as a patient at Ocmulgee Hosp. in Macon Ga in July 1864 and furloughed 26 July 1864.
