Hi Jesse, did you find any information when you went to Grainger County in July?I am one of Isaac's GGG Granddauhters.John his son was the father of John William Bullen/Allen, who was the father of Vernon William Allen my father.John Bullen and Eliza Jane Berry came to Texas in 1880 and changed their surname to Allen. I found them on the 1870 Rockcastle census as Bullens and then in Texas Dallas County in 1880 as Allens.John Wesley Bullen a cousin came with them and married Mary Allen John and Eliza's daughter.I felt strongly that Isaac and Joseph were brothers because Joseph was the bondsman for Isaac when he married, and they married sisters. What do you have that proves it?Have you seen the 1810 tax list that has Rachel and of course hash marks for the children.I don't have it in front of me so I don't remember what the ages and numbers were.I felt that maybe Rachel was Isaac's mother when I saw that. I'm glad someone else is searching for Isaac and Joseph's parents. We need all the help we can get.Keep on searching. Oh by the way they were from Mt.Vernon in Kentucky, and named my father Vernon.John William named gave all his sons William as a middle name.I wondered if William might have been Isaac's father.Vernelle Fugitt
