SHAFTSBURY — Flora Bump, 82, died March 17, 2006, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.
She was born July 20, 1923, in Shaftsbury, the daughter of Walter and Jeannette (Galusha) Russell.
She received her education is Shaftsbury and later attended St. Joseph's Business College in Bennington.
She married Wesley Bump on Dec. 25, 1942, in Bennington. He died in 2003.
Mrs. Bump worked for Union Carbide Corporation in Bennington, retiring as a receptionist.
She enjoyed traveling and camping.
Survivors include nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Erwin, Harold and Gilbert Russell; and a sister, Phyllis Devine.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 21, at the Mahar & Son Funeral Home in Bennington.
Burial will take place in Center Shaftsbury Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 20, at the funeral home.
