Your recent message has me veryinterested, as you mentioned both Foltz and Burkholder surnames together...married.Please read the following...there has to be a connection!!!
Can you please email me at [email protected] with any possible connections with either the Foltz or Burkholder lines...I hit a wall which you may have just cracked a little bit :)It is/was common for family members to marry into the same family.
The 1880 and 1900 Federal census for the State of Michigan reflect that William Hudson Seymour Foltz (full name) was born 9-21-1841 in Ohio. William served in the 88th Ohio Inf. Both census indicates that both of William's parents were from PA. William married Lydia Ann Burkholder, who was born in Perry County PA on 3-16-1842 (according to her obituary listed in the Manistee Beacon which I have a copy of), and moved with her father's family to Leipsic Ohio in 1861...and two years later married William Foltz on 7-4-1863 in Leipsic, Ohio. 10 years later they moved to Pleasanton MI.Together they had 6 children, one son and six girls. Their son, Hudson William Seymour Foltz married Ida Williams (my grandparents).William & Lydia are my great grandparents.
I am looking for the parents and/or siblings of William Hudson Seymour Foltz and/or Lydia Ann Burkholder.
Any help would be appreciated...thanks!
...Greatgrandson of William Foltz and Lydia Ann Burkholder
