I have the folowing information from Richard Davis:
4117. Isaac Burkhalter, b. c1751. d. c1831, Botetourt County, Virginia. He was taxed at Conestoga from 1777 to 1787 and more. In 1777 he was taxed on 60 acres next to his brother Christian. He was unmarried in 1777. He was living in Conestoga Township in 1790 with one male under age 16 and five females in his household. He lived in Botetourt County, Virginia in 1798 and 1801. He was living at Botetourt County in the 1810 census (10101-23100), apparently a widower. He married apparently a second time in about 1810 probably to Elizabeth. He lived at Botetourt County in 1820 (100101-41401) with two sons and 9 daughters. He was listed as age between70-80 years old in the 1830 with a number of children. He had two females age 30-40 living with him in 1830 and a female age 70-80 (mother-in-law?). He was taxed at Botetourt in 1811 and 1812 with another white male in his household older than 16 years old and from 1813 and 1817 he had none over 16 and then from1818 to 1822 he one additional white male over 16 in his household. Apparently his oldest son left his household in 1812 or 1813 and Isaac Jr. became age 16 in 1817 or 1818. His wife Elizabeth was listed in the 1840 census, age 50-60 with a number of other people in her household with ages ranging from about 5/10 years old to 70/80 years old.

41174. Daughter, b. c1787.
41175. Son [?William] Burkholder, b. c1789. d. between 1830 and 1841, Virginia. He was probably the father of the six children listed below. He probably died by 1850. He is not found in any census records in 1820, 1830 or 1840 even though his children were al born in Virginia. The Burkholder Reunion Report states that his name was William. He was probably married to Catherine in about 1813. At the marriage of his daughter Martha in 1841, it stated that she was the daughter of Catherine Burkholder. William may have died by 1841. He was taxed in his father’s household above the age of 16 until 1812, when apparently he left the household. He is not found in tax records on his own in Botetourt County.
411751. Eliza Burkholder, b. 1814. She married James M. Hall (b. 1812) on 13 Oct 1837. The bondsman was Isaac Burkholder who attested that Eliza was over the age of 21. They were living at Pattonburg, Botetourt County in 1880. The census sated that James was born in Amhurst and she was born in Botetourt. Their grand daughter Lila Fisher was living with them in 1880.
411752. James Burkholder, b. 1818, Virginia. He lived at Botetourt County in 1850. He was married to Martha (b. 1819). His son Robert was living at Cuivie, Pike County, Missouri in 1880 near Alex Burkholder.
