This is some of what I know about the Burrages
Seeking info. about Edward & Rebecca ? Burrage, who came from. Maryland, and settled in Rowan Co., N. C. abt. 1792. They had son's named; James, Edward, William. Also had two dau's.; Hannah & Catherine. William married Huldah Parks,
This Edward was son of Edward Sr. from England, came to Marylsnd 1732.Left Frederick Co MD in the 1770's to Granville Co NC,
Then to Rowan Co in the 1790's. Children born in NC.Edward Jr. died in Pooltown, Rowen Co NC 1798.
Edward married Rebecca Reeves, and they had Thomas, William Wilson, Eliza, Edward, John Henry, and James Reeves Burrage!
This Edward was the son ofNinian Burrage, son of the above Edward Sr.brother ofEdward Jr.They left MD for VA, AL and
Winston Co MS.
Trying to connect this line of Burrage's, to James M. Burrage, who was born abt. 1795, and married Mary Palmer in Columbia Co., Georgia! James & Mary later settled in Tuscaloosa Co., Alabama.
This James Monroe Burrage in EdwardJr's line in Rowan Co NC. born in NC died in AL.
They had three known children; Nancy Burrage who married Joseph Hosmer. Josiah M. Burrage who married Elizabeth Thompson. And Nathaniel Burrage who married Alice Riley! Nathaniel and Alice had two known son's, James & John Thomas Burrage! John Thomas married Angeline Carter, and they had several children. Their names were; Nancy Saphronia Elizabeth Jane Fuller, Doshia Williams, Mary Ann Hosmer, Thomas Monroe Burrage, Dovie Burrage, Hettie Burrage Blansett, John Burrage, and William "Bill" Burrage! Edward Burrage who died in Winston County, Mississippi is listed on the 1850 Mortality Schedule as 84 years of age. He would have been about 74 in the 1840 Census.Ninian Burrage's son
Neither of the 1840 census Burrage households (in Autuga, AL or Montgomery, NC) have a man of that age (70 and under 80) listed.
Neither was old enough.
You list Eliza as one of the children of Edward & Rebecca Burrage. Do you know who Eliza married? What was your source for Eliza's name? The 1810 Maryland census shows Edward Burrage with two females under 10. Looking
There were Burrages ( Edward, Ninian, and others) in Maryland at that time. Later moved to Virginia in 1800's. I am looking for information on Edward Burrage who came to Maryland from England in 1732. Possibly father of Ninian Burrage.

In 1850 MS Winston Co. census John Burrage, 40, b. VA, listed with wife Ursula and 6 children. In next household Rebecca Burrage, 74, b. SC listed. Nearby also are William Burrage 48, b. MD and Edward Burrage 46, b. VA with their wives and children. I am trying to connect these Burrages with Anna Rebecca Burrage, b. abt. 1830 in VA, who married George W. BAGGETT. Does anyone know about these Burrages?
Edward's Line, 1860 census has Rebecca born in MD.
Edward Burrage m. Rebecca Reeves in MD. Moved to Strafford Co. VA, Autuaga, AL and then Winston, MS. The William was my great grandfather. The others were Edward and Rebecca's children. Edward d. abt 1850. I do not know if your Burrage is related or not.
